Bastard is a modern and versatile blackletter font that was designed by Jonathan Barnbrook and published by Barnbrook Fonts along with three styles. It’s a contemporary blackletter typeface, distinguished by being one of the first to be created using a personal computer. Bastard was drawn using primitive font design software in 1988 and its modular approach to character assembly was refined and published two years later. It was further revised in 2016 to feature an expanded character set.
